Determine what is mine to do, what is not mine to do, and what may require partnership, including what pastoral care can appropriately provide and what requires expertise beyond your role.

A process for making appropriate care-pathway decisions
Learn to reason through Continue Within Scope, Collaborate Across the Gap, and Refer to an Appropriate Professional, including the difference between referral and collaboration and when more than one pathway may be appropriate.

The software walks you through COLLECT → CONSIDER → CLARIFY → CHOOSE → CONTINUE as you work through a pastoral counseling situation, helping you organize relevant information, consider the factors shaping the person's needs, clarify your pastoral role, determine an appropriate care pathway, and plan what happens next.
It also gives you a structured place to document information and decisions throughout the process, so the pastoral counseling encounter doesn't depend solely on memory, scattered notes, or figuring out the next step from scratch.
Participants who already have the Counseling Integration Framework™ will learn how to use it as part of a complete pastoral counseling system. Participants who don't yet have it will receive access as part of the workshop.

You won't just learn the five-step system—you'll practice using it.
Throughout the workshop, you'll work through one realistic pastoral counseling case from beginning to end. As each step of the system is introduced, you'll apply what you're learning to the same case—gathering and documenting information through COLLECT, examining the whole picture through CONSIDER, defining the pastor's role and boundaries through CLARIFY, determining an appropriate care pathway through CHOOSE, and building the follow-through plan through CONTINUE.
You'll use the practical tools provided for each step as you work through the case, then see how the same five-step process is supported inside the Counseling Integration Framework™ software system.
By the end of the workshop, you won't have simply heard about the new pastoral counseling system—you'll have practiced using it from intake through follow-through.
